All it takes is one short night
in front of your television set
They're throwing light beer commercials at me
and razors made by Gillette
Buy this car and you can have
all the peace in the world
Just blast another highway through
and sell it all with a girl

(Chrorus) Two hours on the Tannahwa
It's a long and winding trail
my boots are wearing blisters on me
and the poison ivy is hell
So break out your "Wounded Warrior"
and take a few steps from your shell
'cause you know what makes a man today
You can always find in a sale

The Marlboro Man has lost his balance
and took a fall off of his horse
Landed on a cactus plant
and traded it in for a Porsche
Desperado he's a banker now
Got a wife and two little kids
He only plays cards on the weekend now
In a house with a picket fence

Chorus

Women today they're something else
They no longer live in a shoe
despite our best efforts at keeping them down
They just keep on breaking through
They blow on right past us
to a new world they have found
Ancient Crete has nothing on us
in our quiet little towns

Chorus

The world has changed
it's gotten much smaller
and the lines have grown pretty thin
There's not much different anymore
between the Democrats and Republicans
The race is fixed, the ballots cast
and the money keeps rolling in
The rules today are not the same
It's he with the most money wins

Chorus

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
