image for Political Thoughts Over Breakfast From the vitriolic pen of the Spoof's Dense Inchcock

Rare Unprompted Thoughts

This morning, after I'd filed away the just delivered overdue Eon Bill letter, I had another attack of bemusing mental meanderings, that came to me while I was having my breakfast, six slices of margarined toast, eight cups of strong tea, and my medication.

Here is the outcome, I hope you can understand where it came from, and what it means.

(If so please let me know?)

I sat in my hovel, nibbling my toast for breakfast,

I thought of of Politicians, and felt so aghast,

They seem to have had their compassion gene bypassed,

They avoid punishment for fiddling like a mental gymnast,

They've become a superior, pampered, political caste,

Their pay, compared to my £113 weekly pension, what a contrast,

No wonder I sometimes get feeling so downcast,

Their ability to lie and cheat continues to flabbergast,

So many pulling nepotistic strings, and not being unmasked,

They'll continue to look after themselves first, I forecast,

Their greed, and ego, cannot be surpassed!

In the event of any Politician who does have any of the following traits: Nepotism, Greed, Aloofness, Indifference, Covetousness, Insensitivity, or being Self-centred - Please offer him or her your sympathy, for they must feel so very isolated and lonely in Parliament.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
