image for Obama assures US troops they are winning war against Taliban

Barack Obama made a surprise flying visit to Afghanistan and assured cheering US troops they are winning the war against the Taliban, but warned of "difficult days ahead".

How he knows this is beyond most people in the civilized world. Every time a soldier dies, other than a member of the Taliban.....we lose.

Give all the politicians who send the troops to Afghanistan, a uniform and send them to the 'frontline' but make sure they are wearing 'Depends' and brown trousers. Leave them over there for 4 months and see what their opinion is after their 'tour'.

No they will not do that, they will continue to fly into war zones for a few hours, smile, say nice things to the troops, fly home to the coziness of their own homes, to the warmth of their families, enjoying hugs from loved-ones, including mistresses.

Will any of the high ranking Government officials spare a thought during the Christmas celebrations, or whatever celebrations, depending on their religion, for the soldiers in Afghanistan...

Maybe a fleeting thought will pass through their minds when they hear The Story of the Tin Soldier...or catch a glimpse of the News when the t.v. is accidentally left on..other than that...Party on fellas. You are doing YOUR jobs. Sleep well.

Obama warned of difficult days ahead. Who writes his speeches I wonder. EVERY BLOODY DAY IS DIFFICULT FOR THOSE SOLDIERS. THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE PATRONIZED.

I realize we have a good laugh here most of the time..but want to keep those soldiers close to our hearts on a daily basis even if we do not know any of them personally.

If any of them read The Spoof.....we are thinking of you.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
