Karl Rove is responsible for getting President Bush elected in 2000 and and 2004. He wrote his own memiors and is trying to improve the sales for his book by doing an interview with me.
UWGB-Beek: I am not going to beat around the bush on this one, but do you feel any guilt for using dirty tactics to get George Bush in the White House.
Karl Rove: I didn't use dirty tricks to get Bush elected. People like Bush because he was average intelligence and made a fool of himself all the time. That man can't give a good speech to save his life.
UWGB-Beek: You didn't answer my question. Do you feel guilty?
Karl Rove: I don't think anyone feels guilt when they spend as much time around politics.
UWGB-Beek: Your dislike of Sarah Palin seems to get you a lot of attention in the press. Why don't you like Palin? She seems to have all the traits Bush had.
Karl Rove: Bush was a man. Women scare me.
UWGB-Beek: Why would women scare you?
Karl Rove: Because they accuse me of being strange, and they make fun of me, and Sarah Palin has made fun of me in the past. I was at a party that she was at, and she asked her friend who the white dork was in the corner? It was me. How the hell does she not know who I am.
UWGB-Beek: This is a woman that can see Russia from her house.
Karl Rove: It still hurts.
UWGB-Beek: Are there any Republicans you think have a chance of winning the Republican nomination for president in 2012.
Karl Rove: I like Paul Ryan, because he seems to want to steal from the poor and the weak. I also like Mike Huckabee because his name is fun to say.
UWGB-Beek: Thank you for your time.
Karl Rove: Don't forget to buy "Courage and Consequence."
