It's true; I swear on all that is currently visiting the UK from Vatican City. You heard it here first. That's right, Bill Bailey's doggy TWEETS! And I'm not enunciating like Jonathan Ross either and just to prove it, I didn't spell his last name 'Woss', which is just cheap and demeaning to both Jonathan and me as a respected journalist.
What I am doing however is making a humorous play on words, made possible by the fact that 'tweet' now means communicating on a microblogging website, as well as the usual dictionary definition of 'chirping sound, as of a small bird' and the end result being a title that makes you, the reader, initially think that a dog has made such a noise, which is quite frankly a bit daft
Anyhoo, back to the thrust of this news worthy nubbin, poor old Bill Bailey, the hirsute humorist, who could pass as staff at a Holland and Barrett branch, lost his canine companion, so the musically minded maestro immediately took to Twitter to transmit his trauma in an attempt to track the erstwhile Teddy, for 'twas his name.
Fortunately, alls well that ends well, as the mischievous mutt was reunited with his happy chappy carer but a few short hours later and Mr Bailey tweeted a twitpic for all to see that all was well and that he was all smiles. Teddy on the other hand was looking somewhat bemused at all the fuss and was just looking forward to chowing down on some much needed doggy dinner and to curl up on his hairy companions lap for a long overdue nap.
