National Archives, Washington, D.C. - Researchers and historical biographers, as well as political analysts have examined well over two centuries of records, to determine who the best, the greatest, the most outstanding United State's President of all time was.
Here then is the report of Professor Anne R. Kist:
"There was one President....just one...who shines like a beacon in a sea of mediocrity and malevolence. This President took us into no war, his foreign policy was remarkably restrained and civil, his domestic policies were a marvel of non-interference.
By the nature of the office, he could not help but do some smidge of harm, yet even when it came to the cost of his salary, he cost our nation but 1/48th of what most of our Looter In Chiefs do.
He did less harm to our nation then any President before...and any President since. It is doubtful that we could ever be so lucky as to have such a President as him again. One may hope, one may pray, one may entreat the God of Forefathers, and all deities that ever were or could be...but in truth...
Well, it is rare in the history of any nation or empire to have such a great leader as this man was even once...having been so blessed, it is unlikely we ever will be similarly blessed again. And that is a real shame, for when even anarchists and libertarians praise this man to the sky, you know he must have been truly special...truly unique.
Would that our current President could have emulated this man's beautiful example, and sacrificed as this statesman did for the good of our nation. I firmly believe that all Presidents should have followed the example set by this one, and that our nation would have been much the better for it had they done so.
I would love to see a Constitutional Amendment that would mandate that all people running for the office of the Presidency must first swear a mighty oath, agreeing to live up to his example to the best of their ability, and that further...human nature being all too weak...that the amendment also mandate that future office holders be compelled by force of law to live up to the example set by this most noble of leaders.
Who was this great leader and statesman? Who was the "wise servant" that we had as ruler over us? Who was the very best President the United States we ever had?
None other then William Henry Harrison, the Ninth President of the United States of America. His term of office was the best we ever had - in quantity. And due to that, in quality, as well.
