Lake Como, Italy- If you're looking for a place to buy budget clothing, eat a McDonalds and test a budget beating car for the recession then Lake Como is your best bet. Nestled amongst the towering hills (and towering towers too) lies some great roads, some sun, and myself, testing the all new Rolls 'Ghost Diamond EXC'.

I've got to tell you, it feels like a your driving a bucket that a toddler has shoved a trike under. It's sublime, or as all the local Italians were saying as I drove past 'pigro!'. The handling reminds me of the good old days of the horse and cart, and in fact, since the Rolls only has 4 horse power it's pretty close. But the work that those horses do! Wow. I mean, this thing puts down a whole load of torque. It doesn't do anything with it, but it's all down there, somewhere.

You know what the EXC stands for? Certainly the classy chipboard wood interior and luxury charity shop upholstery gives the impression of an executive suite, or a grand stately house, or Walmart, but no! The EXC actually stands for 'extra croissants'! So there you go.

What about the economy I here you ask? Well a good question. All I can say is one day we'll all come out of recession.

Talking about fuel efficiency, this car is the cutting edge of technology. So much so, it actually came with a saw to cut a hole where your feet are in order to put to work it's 'pedal power'.

Would we buy this car? Certainly. Why not? It only costs a crazy £12,000. For a Rolls! I would go for this over a Golf GTI anyday (but tuesday).

What can I say about this car? It can only be summed up by it's name, it is a Ghost, after all, there is hardly anything to it.
