MUGGED! What was Gorgeous George doing leaving that gap. I'm no gp rider but even I know you do not give the master the slightest sniff of a gap and expect him not to go for it. Rossi was clearly always going to do that, even if he was or wasn't in the way.... That is proper fairing bashing. Old skool racing, What a race.
Those two aside, who wants to see Casey on a Repsol Honda or another 'sorted' machine.. Just to see if he is quicker than the untamed bronco. If no one else can ride the Ducati, what is Casey doing ?! Nicky did well this time out, finishing in the top ten. I am wondering exactly how hard it is to ride that bike, it must be a beast. The Yamaha's looked a class of their own, those two were away and on it. Who else enjoyed the merry dance of hanging the leg out, I must give it a go on my next trip to Sainsburys, it cracks me up.
Dani did remarkably well all things considered. Those painkillers must be illegal in many countries. Dovisioso looked good too, you could be tempted to put some money on him getting a victory this season. JT.. Where was he... This guy is having a shocker now, I've upgraded the performance threat level to Shocker. He just cannot find that set up. We'll always support him though, sort it out mate.
Final word has to go to the 36year old father, Loris Capirossi. Has anyone told him that you slow down when you are older? Loris was outstanding, riding like his 250 days, when he was battling against Harada. We all know that beating your team mate is the first rule of motor sport and boy did he show the whippersnapper a thing or two.
Assen next, we know Nicky, Colin and JT have form there and you cant write off the championship contenders. I'm brave (read stupid) so I'm calling it right now Rossi, Lorenzo, Edwards... On with the season, the fun has just begun, we can't "wait until next time".
Be sure to check out the Assen review in 2 weeks time.
