Dear Spoof Reader,
I'm sure you know about that thing where you can watch the movie "The Wizard of Oz" and play the record of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and they are supposed to go right together.
Well, it never worked for me. How about you? Maybe I missed something but I started them both right there where those articles said. Nothing!
However, I was walking through the house last week to get me a snack and there was my wife getting ready to "Sweat To The Oldies" with Richard Simmons.
Well, I can't stand that high squeaky voice so I hurriedly made a U-turn and ran back into the bedroom where I put on the Pink Floyd album and listened to it twice before sticking my head out. Whew, just heard the last half of Beyond The Sea.
Then I made a wonderful discovery and you'll have to give it a try yourself. The last of the Floyd album went right along with Bobby Darin's song, "Beyond The Sea".
So I came into the living room while the wife took a shower and played them both at the same time. WOW! The whole thing matched up!
He was "watching the ships that go sailing", Why? "because he was out in the grass." "Peggy Sue had Brain Damage". There's "Money" "On Broadway" and "The Great Gig in the Sky" is "Great Balls of Fire!"
You know, that doesn't really make sense does it?
Wait a minute. Let me go listen some more.
OK, I'm full of shit. None of it makes any sense at all. But it matched so perfectly the other night.
Oh yeah...when I went back to the bedroom I smoked some joints. I was already headed for the refrigerator when I saw the "Oldies" CD going in.
Hey, I bet that's what happened to that other dude and his "Wizard of Oz".
The Lunatic WAS on the grass!
Don't bother reading this!
