When Antonius, Captain, Lieutenant, Jennet and the entire flock returned to the base camp, it was late afternoon. Captain led the flock to the pool and, next, into to the fenced pen. Then, Antonius, having put on his overall, started milking the goats to be boiled for making cheese and some yogurt. At sunset, he was finished. From now on, it was all his own time. First thing he did was to take his daily shower. Changed his underwear and put on his comfortable tracksuit.
One day, in mid morning, when Major finished feeding his flock a especially prepared food, sesame roughage, and watering them, Captain barked out warningly. Antonius looked at the direction of the threat: A woman and a man were approaching the base camp. Major thought who the hell they might be. Poised the binocular. While looking, he kept murmuring, "Well, well, well. I'll be damned! Now I do believe that 'a man's life does begin at 40'. Major hurriedly went to his trailer and quickly changed and put on his late uncle's old torn cloths he had kept for a day like that. Next, he looked in the mirror and examined his reflection. Then, thought aloud. "This damn beard and stature might scare them away, but there is nothing I can do about it."
When he came out, the figures were about 200 meters away. The man waved his hand in a friendly manner begging him to quiet the dog. The man and the woman, being short of breath, sat down. After a couple of minutes, the man said, "What a lovely place you've got here! Do you mind if we relax for a couple of minutes here?"
What was Major hearing was already imprinted in his long memory. First, he thought he was hearing his uncle's account of the calamity. Next, he realized that they were the exact words of the man approaching the camp. Then he murmured, "He is acting like a tape recorder." Major decided to make sure who these people were before taking any action. He sat on the same rock his uncle had sat on, and started throwing pebbles.
The same scene, step-by-step, repeated itself. When the man asked:
o What's your name? Major, swallowing his anger, faintly said:
o You are lucky, Cousin Yusef. We city people miss this weather and landscape. No wonder, most prophets were once a shepherd. We have plenty of food and fresh fruit. When we finish unpacking, come and join us. This woman is my wife. Did you say your name was Yusef?
o Coincidence. My wife's name is Zuleika. You know the story of Yusef and Zuleika in bibles?
