image for A Conversation between President Clinton and Vice President Gore

Washington DC, June 11, 2008: An old beat up audio tape recording has been found under the carpet in the oval office of the White House. The tape had been there since November 2000 but was constantly overlooked, as the current occupant spends most of his time in Dick Cheney's office. The recorded conversation is between President Clinton and Vice President Gore discussing the upcoming presidential election.

A transcript of their verbal interchange follows.

PBC: Al do you and Joe realize that the chances of your winning the general election are as good as a Polar Bear's chance of survival on an ice floe in hell?
VPAG: You mean the warming political climate in this town is not conducive to Democrats.

PBC: Al that's an inconvenient truth you two will have to accept!
VPAG: But Bill you know Joe and I bring a global perspective to our work.

PBC: The environment in this town is so full of noxious gas, pollution and hot air that can smother even your conveyed atmosphere of hope.
VPAG: What you're saying is that the rising temperature dictates that I find a new line of work. Well I like gardening, such that I could always be a greenhouse farmer in Tennessee.

PBC: I am afraid so Al, as the Republican's will be here for the next eight years. Hillary tells me that she might consider running for president then. Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha.
VPAG: Really?

Al Gore and Joseph Lieberman lost the election, and as they say "the rest is history."
