image for John McCain - Questions and Answers with Presidential Candidates Senator John McCain

Every week, we will interview presidential candidates and offer insight into their campaign and their beliefs.

This week's candidate: Senator John McCain (R-AZ)

Spoof Magazine: What made you decide to run for president?

John McCain: I am afraid to admit it, but the only reason I ran was because I thought Bush was going to run for a third term.

SM: What makes you stand out from the other candidates?

JM: My military record stands out. I have served my country and would do it again if I wasn't so friggin' old. I'm just glad I'm not running against John Kerry because he won three purple hearts.

SM: What would you do differently than George W. Bush?

JM: George W. Bush gave tax cuts to the wealthy. He cut too much taxes. I would only give tax cuts to the very wealthy.

SM: What would you do if Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton were elected President?

JM: I would move to France. If one of them win, I won't have to worry about Barbra Streistand moving there. If I win, I'll help Babs move there and pay for moving expenses.
