The world of American politics, is, I am sure you would agree, a mish mash of back stabbing punctuated with inuenndo and hearsay. Point in question the elegibility of Senator John McCain to run for President.
Only in America could a politician as patriotic as the good Senator be lambasted for....not being American. In what is, complete and utter drivel, commentators in the United States are questioning the dear man's credentials to run for office. It has transpired he was born, to American parents mind you, in Panama, while his father, a millitary officer of note, was stationed there.
How ironic then that no one is questioning the validity of Barack Obama to be leader. By all accounts a good and honest man, however born in the USA but his Father was Kenyan. I find it amazing that the American constitution would forbid McCain, if he won, from becoming President.
Here in the UK we have not yet faced this dilemma. However I see only one silver lining in this cloud of political hypocrisy. Should McCain be barred from becoming President then at least we can rest assured that Arnold Schwarzenegger will never become leader of the free world!
Hasta la vista!
