Our Arts critic Ben Dover reviews the musical "Evita" by Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice:
"I cannot recommend 'Evita' highly enough! It's the amazing true story of an ambitious young woman, plucked from obscurity when she marries an up-and-coming politician. With her help and encouragement, he eventually becomes President.
"But still later, when he becomes increasingly incompetent to perform his presidential duties, she takes over from him, despite her never having been elected and having no qualifications for public office.
Ulitimately she becomes drunk with power, and transforms her whole country into a living hell by being a tyrannical, crazed, arrogant, evil bitch. Truly, there was never anyone quite like Eva Peron."
[Editors Note: What? EVA PERON? Oh, thank God! What a relief! For a minute there, I thought you were talking about Hillary.]
