I have a few very wealthy friends and it never ceases to amaze me how much stuff they have. But what amazes me even more is the amount of stuff they have that they will never use!
I was over a wealthy friends house a few days ago and I commented on how nice and big his house was.
"It's big but there's not enough storage space", my friend commented. "I may build a storage area in the back".
He then took me down to his basement and garage and showed me stacks of very expensive stuff that he owned that he needed more space for. There were chandeliers, vases, and enough furniture and clothes to keep several families happy for decades! He gave me a couple of towels.
There is no doubt that he will someday buy more stuff and take the stuff he now uses and put it in storage with the other stuff he doesn't use. Not to mention that he owns four cars but can only drive one at a time.
I guess the whole purpose of being rich is not how much you USE so much as how much you HAVE. There's the old saying, the person who dies with the most toys wins!
