Los Angeles, California - MaterCard announced today that it would be contracting Paris Hilton to be their next spokesperson endorsing their credit and debit card right after her release from prison.

Critics argue it sends the wrong message to today's youth. However, advertising executives counter, it would not be any different from the endorsement of rap singers like Snoop Dog, only without having to hire extra security during the ad shoot.

Here is an advanced look at the proposed MasterCard ad copy:

Plain cotton mattress: $50.00

County jail issued detainee orange jumper suit: $20.00

Upgrade to a prison hospital wardroom at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Correctional Facility Twin Towers with a spectacular view of the nighttime skyline at the taxpayers' expense (per day): $1,100

Having a rich grandpa who is willing to call in a favor for political contributions to the local Sheriff's re-election campaign to ensure your relative comfort and safety for the remainder of your incarceration: Priceless.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
