image for Mick "Let Them Eat Coal" Mulvaney--And Other Nicknames For Trump's New Director Of OMB Dick Cheney holds a fish in his mouth for target practice. Cheney's nickname for Mick Mulvaney is Darth Mulvaney.

Director of OMB Mick Mulvaney had no idea what he started when he was overheard saying "Let them eat coal" after a press conference in Washington DC. His comment was in response to journalists who questioned the effects GOP budget cuts will have on our most vulnerable citizens.

A thousand memes were launched from that one comment alone.

Now it seems everyone has a favorite nickname for Mulvaney, even the Pope!

Here are some of the nicknames for him collected from public figures so far:

Dick Cheney: Interviewed for Hunting and Ammo "I like Darth Mulvaney, it's got a good ring to it."

Hillary Clinton: Fresh from her recovery in Amsterdam, she simply smiled and quipped, "Cruella."

Pope Francis: "This is Fake News, right? OK, I call him the Stingy Leprechaun--even other leprechauns have said this about him."

Mitch McConnell: Long saddled with the Mitch "the Bitch" moniker, the senate scarecrow seemed taken aback when first asked if he had a nickname for Mulvaney. McConnell then chuckled and told DC reporters, "sure, how about Mick 'The Grinch' Mulvaney."

Bernie Sanders: "I've been calling him the Billionaire's BFF for months and it's been ignored--the fake news finally has to report on it."

Vicente Fox: The former president of Mexico seemed annoyed by the question at an unrelated press conference, but then laughed it off saying: "This guy does not need a cute nickname, these Trump guys are fncking a$$holes!"
