image for 2017, The Year Of The Cock--Should It Be Renamed "Year Of The Pussy" Or "Year Of The Vagina"? 2017 is the Year of the Cock in the Chinese calendar.

2017 is the Year of the Cock according to the Chinese calendar, but Amena Snow, editor of the women's magazine Biva, has proclaimed it the Year of the Pussy.

The announcement has exposed a deepening rift among liberals who want to rename 2017 in honor of the historic public opposition to President Trump's policies that has been led largely by women.

Ramona Gwyn Of Code Pink explained her choice for the Year of the Vagina.

"Look, I understand about co-opting the enemies words to dis-empower them, and that's what all the pussy hats and 'This Pussy Bites Back' is about, and there's even more to it than that. But I don't want my boys casually using the word, and we risk trivializing the anti-Trump movement's legitimacy by associating too strongly with the word 'pussy.'"

The divide among liberals is even more apparent when viewed by gender: 75% of Women prefer Year of the Vagina while 87% of men prefer Year of the Pussy.

Only the Chinese can change their calendar, but there is no reason we can't unofficially rename the year to reflect this historic moment--and in that case this reporter simply votes for Year of the Woman.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
