image for Jabberwacky Rove's vorpal sword went snicker-snack

Inspired by Lewis Carroll

'Twas brillig, and the Karl Rove
Did tremble and tire in his soul;
All flimsy were the borogoves,
And the GOP outpolled.

"Beware the Tea Party, my son
The jaws that bite, the mouth that spits!
Beware the Ted Cruz bird, and shun
That frumious piece of shit!"

Rove took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the loudmouthed foe he sought--
So rested he by the cherry tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in puffish thought he stood,
The Ted Cruz bird, with eyes aflame,
Came whiffling through the scorched-earth wood,
And blubbered as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
Rove's vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left Cruz dead, and with his head
He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Tea Party?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day for the GOP!"
McCain chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the Karl Rove
Did tremble and tire in his soul;
All flimsy were the borogoves,
And the GOP outpolled.
