Everyone knows that I'm an extreme conservative. I'm the kind of conservative who seeks to lower taxes, while at the same time describing anyone who is not paying taxes as moochers.

Today's heroes of freedom are the US Congress. While passing the debt limit bill they passed the No Budget No Pay Act of 2013 which states that if either the House of Representative or the Senate fails to pass a budget the members will not get paid. It's about time Congress passed a common sense approach to creating a budget.

Cheese head Rep. Paul Ryan said it best "This bill simply says 'Congress, do your job.' When I grew up in Wisconsin, if you had a job and you did the work, then you got paid. If you didn't do the work, you didn't get paid. It's that simple."

It's exactly that simple. Until you actually read the Act in its entirety. It turns out if you're in Congress and can't pass a bill your money goes into an escrow account which you won't get until either a budget is passed or the end of the current Congress (whichever comes sooner). It's kind of like if you drove an 18 wheeler. One day you decided that instead of driving, you just wanted to nap all day. Instead of your boss firing you, he just threatened to not pay you for your naps till you decided to drive again or till you decided you were tired of taking naps and wanted to do something else.

Still I completely agree with Paul Ryan, with the average net worth of the House member around six million dollars it's really twisting Congress's arms to make them wait till the end of the current congress to pick up their $174,000 dollar a year check.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
