Fetching the Bi-Monthly medications
Monday: Bi-monthly medications collection day
Set out on the short ten minute walk to the pharmacists to fetch my bi-monthly medications prescription, having first checked I had everything needed, me attire was correct, hearing aids were in, glasses were on, morning medications taken, shoes and not slippers were on me feet, got me bus pass, some cash, no yobboes about on the street, I'd visited the WC, arriving with a cheery smile at the chemists - to be told that the medications were not ready, but would be on tommorow.
Tuesday: Bi-monthly medications collection rearranged day
Usual pre-departure checks, and again smiled at the staff at the chemists greeting them warmly on my arrival - the Ramipril 5mg capsules had not arrived, but I could have the other medications now, then collect the Ramipril 5mg capsules in the morning.
Wednesday: Bi-monthly medications collection second rearranged day
Usual pre-departure checks, and once again smiled at the staff at the chemists greeting them warmly on my arrival - apparently the supplier had sent Ramipril 2.5mg capsules in error, but if I called back in the afternoon after 1600hrs, the Ramipril 5mg capsules should have arrived.
Came home, and made a note for myself not to forget to go back for the Ramipril 5mg capsules, then realised I'd left all the other medications on the chemist's counter!
Returned to the chemists once again (getting funny but sympathetic looks from the staff now!). I thanked them, and took medications home.
Wednesday: Bi-monthly medications collection third rearranged collection
Forgot to go back for Ramipril 5mg capsules.
Thursday: Bi-monthly medications collection forth attempted collection
Usual pre-departure checks, collected the Ramipril 5mg capsules without any problem.
Realised when I arrive home and saw me appointment log, I should have been at the QMC cardiac unit for an ECG!
Went to the QMC, and they gave me a prescription for extra Simvastin tablets as they had increased the dosage.
Friday: Going to chemists to get prescription filled
