CHEYENNE, Wyoming - Wyatt Blatzenfeller has been a postal carrier for the Cheyenne Post Office since 1972, a total of 40 years.
He recently spoke to Anderson Cooper on Anderson Cooper 360 and told him that in that time he has never once been bitten by a dog or even been approached by a dog.
He noted that he personally knows of 17 postmen who were bitten by a dog while delivering the mail.
He pointed out the fact that unlike most letter carriers he has never carried a can of maze, pepper spray, or a taser gun.
When Cooper asked him what in the world his secret was he just grinned and took out some photographs.
He handed them to Anderson who started giggling as he flipped through the pictures.
He then told Mr. Blatzenfeller that he totally agrees with him that there is no way on Earth that a dog would ever attack him.
Cooper held up one of the photos for the camera to see and it showed the Cheyenne letter carrier walking with his mailbag in one hand and his huge pit bull by his side.
Blatzenfeller pointed out to Cooper that Mr. Bow-Wow is one of the biggest and meanest pit bulls in the entire United States.
Anderson grinned as he said that looking at Mr. Bow-Wow, he would be willing to bet that even a Bengal tiger would definitely have second thoughts about daring to go up to him.
SIDENOTE: Wyatt Blatzenfeller plans on retiring in September and he and Mr. Bow-Wow will sit out on the back deck of his home where both will drink all the Bud Light they want until dark 30.
