Paragovo Gabskigrad of Sofia, Bulgaria is considered to be the world's foremost expert on vampires.

He wrote in his most recent book titled 7,001 Amazingly Amazing Facts About Vampires that vampires have been around ever since September of 1047.

Gabskigrad noted that 865 years later in 1912, the first vampire movie was filmed.

The motion picture was shot in Great Britain and the title was The Secrets of House No. 5. The movie was remade in 1921, as Dracula's Next Door Neighbors Suck.

The first television sit-com to feature a vampire was The Munsters which hit the TV screens in 1964.

Vodka Vermicelli with iRumors dispelled the widely believed rumor that a vampire had appeared on an episode of the popular western series Rawhide back in 1962.

Clint Eastwood, who appeared as the cattle herd's ramrod Rowdy Yates, said that the creature featured in the particular episode was actually a werewolf and not a vampire.
