image for The magic of The FA Cup - Semi-Final Predictions Paul The Octopus RIP

After Paul The Octopus took the 2010 World Cup by storm by correctly picking the winner in eight successive world cup matches upto and including the final, Sloof Sport News today discovered a meerkat is now attempting to repeat the feat starting with the FA Cup semi-finals.

Mystic Mikhov the Meerkat is A cousin of Russian Meerkat Alexsandr, who viewers may know from the Compare The Meerkat website. We spoke to Mikhov earlier.

SSN: "Hello Mikhov".
MMM: "Indeeeeed correct - I am Mikhov".

SSN: "Errrr, yes. So you have made predictions for this weekends semi-finals matches between Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea and Tottenham".

MMM: "Vell, first up, zee Mersey Derby. Both teams are on a great run of form, winning an incredible 4 matches to reach the semi stage. An impressive four run streak that will end for one of them today".

SSN: "And your choice is?"

MMM: "They'll be celebrating on Merseyside tonight! This game will be won by the Scousers - of that I have no doubt!"

SSN: "Riiiiiiiggggght. And the London derby - Tottenham v Chelsea?"

MMM: "Tottenham - I predict a riot! Ahahahahah. Not really - not until August during the Olympics. Actually, these teams are very similar - Tottenham have been playing bad recently - the manager has been going home to kick his dog - but Chelsea sacked their manager Aston Villa Bonehead- and they have Fernando Torres - 'eeee is rubbeesh!"

SSN: "Well - thanks for nothing really. Anything else to add?"

MMM: "Yeees - to summarise - the final will definitely be between teams from London and Merseyside. The winner will be wearing Red..."

SSN: "Liverpool?!"

MMM: "...or blue. Or white".

SSN: "Mystic Mikhov - Thanks for nothing. Goodbye"
