Sun-soaked forensic drama CSI:Miami returns to UK television for its ninth season this evening - and the critics will be watching closely.
Horatio will arrive at his offices to find everyone stricken by a gas attack - and according to the preview releases, someone doesn't survive. Can this be the work of another arch-enemy, the serial killer Bob Starling?
But while Channel 5 bosses will be hoping for big viewing figures, a top critic has warned that the show could be in trouble.
"They tinkered with it too much last during last season," says EIF News & Features TV editor, Lizzie Celery.
"They've got to get back to Horatio's little ticks - more sideways-on talking and shoe-gazing. He has to make more of removing and replacing his shades, too - what happened there?
"And if anyone but Horatio utters the final line of the prologue before Roger Daltrey screams 'yeeeaaaaaaaah'... well, then they would have lost it completely."
Lizzie does hope for good things though.
"If Starling's back, that means the return of Roger Bart. Wasn't he fit as Bree's pharmacist squeeze George Williams in Desperate Housewives? Oddly yummie!"
