US comedy star Carol Burnett is furious over the UK scandal involving former News of the World editor (sic) Rebekah Brooks, saying the unkempt redhead is bringing disrepute to the small minority of redheaded women seen favourably in the public eye.
Burnett is best known for her TV comedy hour which ran from 1967-1978 with outrageous skits and the antics of Harry Korman and Tim Conway, later joined by look a like Vicki Lawrence.
Brooks, 42, appearing in most tabloid pictures as a wild eyed Medusa look a like, rose to meteoric fame in the UK tabloids from a secretary with no real formal education in journalism, to editor of the News of the World, and later as executive editor of the News International Corporation.
During her rise, she is said to have worked under (sic) former disgraced editor Piers Morgan who was sacked as editor of the Daily Mirror in 2004 for publishing outright lies and faked pictures involving British serving troops in Afghanistan, and was later forced to seek asylum and obscurity in the Colonies taking over for Larry King on CNN with about 375 viewers where he continues to be a legend in his own mind.
Brooks, sometimes called a 'slapper' after an alleged domestic abuse incident involving her first husband, was known to hob knob with Britain's elite politicians, high ranking Police officials, and sports figures.
The recent scandal involving phone hacking by paid detectives working for the News of the World has brought the Rupert Murdock publishing empire to its knees, with questions now being asked after 10 arrests, including Ms. Brooks, "who paid for and authorized the dirt digging, and how did they cover up the expense reports' with common sense dictating that the direction for the hijacking of privacy came from the highest levels.
Said man on the street Brit Martin Shuttlecock from Manchester, pulling up his socks and grabbing his hat, "See, I told you it would all come to tears....them Ginger headed women just can't be trusted...must be summat
in their jeans (sic). "
