Britain's Got Talent crew members, including presenters Ant and Dec, and judges Michael McIntyre and Amanda Holden took advantage of a break from watching some bloke who wasn't Ashley Cole take off several pairs of underpants in order to display a big banner declaring "DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING!" in block letters.
Observers were convinced that they'd heard this protest mantra before in a Monty Python sketch or somesuch nonsense.
But the protesting TV personalities were adamant.
"We don't need this sort of thing. It's just not on," said Michael McIntyre (who isn't really half Chinese)
"Down with this sort of thing!" Amanda Holden ranted. "It's just not on, and we're not standing for it any more."
"I feel really strongly about this," said Ant out of Ant and Dec. "And I say 'Down with this sort of thing.' It's just not on. No matter what anybody says."
"I agree with all me little Geordie heart," said Dec out of Ant and Dec. "Down with this sort of thing. It's about time somebody did something about it. Shocking it is. Just shocking."
Eric Idle and Michael Palin were not available for comment as they were being devoured alive by a giant anaconda up the Orinoco.
