The world of art and culture was in a state of shock yesterday after it was revealed that artist Tracey Emin appeared at a public function and didn't break down in tears.
Emin hit the headlines in 1997 when her display "Everyone I Have Ever Slept 1963 - 1995" was shown at the Royal Academy in London. Since then she has courted controversy with her controversial art work but more recently she made the news after breaking down in tears on Sky Arts' celebrity interview show "In Confidence".
Only last week, Emin was again moved to tears at the opening of an new art gallery in her home town of Margate.
"I'm an emotional person, that's why my work is so raw and revealing. I bleed every day", she told reporters.
An anonymous source at Sky News has suggested that Emin has joined forces with perfume giant Paco Rabanne to bottle and market her tears.
"Lacrimal Secretion" will hit the shops on Monday.
