image for Lady Godiva Accidentally Embroiled in Phone Hacking Scandal Due to Wrong Number
It Was a Cheque, Don't Worry

LONDON & SOMEWHERE IN CANADA - Lady Godiva, renknowned spoofer, said that she was accidentally awarded a £200,000 (CN$314,000/US$325,000) settlement by News Corporation, because a hacker had illegally tapped her phone - on accident.

Lady Godiva, whose home phone number is 9837-555-888, was hacked by News of the World journalists between 3rd March last year, and last week, when NoW realised that it wasn't famed pop star, Justin Bieber, whose phone number is 9831-555-888.

"That's a shame," she said. "Me and Mr. Godiva will spend the money visiting our dear friend Inhopeless in Birmingham for the opening of his new art gallery he bought with his £70,000 (US$113,000) settlement from London because it was so pretentious."

When asked whether she should have testified in UK courts for breach of privacy, she said:

"What?" she laughed. "Phone calls to my mother? Yeah, they're going to bring down the sky with that information! Besides, I'm getting free money. I think I can retire early."

As of press time... ow... ow. She ran over my fricking foot with her new moped.
