NEW YORK CITY - British native Piers Morgan says that he is really doing very well for himself and added that his talk show Piers Morgan Tonight is holding its own in the ratings.
Morgan does not hide the fact that he has already in a very short span of time interviewed more Britishers than the man whom he replaced, the king of the talk shows, Larry King, did in one entire year.
Thus far Piers has interviewed Russell Brand, Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell, Pixie Lott, Ricky Gervais, Cat Deely, Amy Winehouse, Boy George, and recently Queen Elizabeth.
Morgan said that his interview with Cheryl Cole received the highest ratings and he stressed that it was not just because she appeared on his show wearing a very skimpy Victoria's Secret bikini swimsuit that her boyfriend Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Derek Hough purchased for her on Valentine's Day.
He said that everyone enjoyed hearing about Chezza, as she is known in California, talk about her infamous feud with fellow English native Lily Allen.
Morgan said that basically the problem started when Cole responded to an unwarranted and totally out-of-line remark by Allen.
Cheryl disclosed that Lily Allen has a third nipple which is now fairly common knowledge throughout Europe and parts of North Africa.
Morgan when asked which interview he enjoyed the most grinned, took a sip of his warm beer, and replied that it would have to be the interview he did with Queen Elizabeth.
He laughed as he said that he was surprised that he was able to get the queen to admit to her long time hat addiction.
He said that Lilabeth, as Fergie and Kate refer to her behind her back, disclosed to him that her extensive hat collection, which is the largest in the free world now numbers 1,403.
Morgan pumped his fist as he said that he was proud to say that he himself had personally given the queen her 1,403rd hat.
He pointed out that the hat had a hand painted cup of tea on one side and a crumpet on a dish on the other.
Piers perked up and added that his hat actually cost twice as much as the hat which Simon Cowell, aka "The Sultan of Sarcasm" had given to the queen.
Morgan noted that he did not like the hat that Cowell had bought for Queen Elizabeth.
The hat which was number 1,999 in the Queen's Hat Collection was imported from Osaka, Japan and was adorned with several genuine chopsticks.
In a related story. Morgan is trying to book Osama Bin Laden to appear on his show sometime in May during Pakistan's 'National Camel Breeding Week.'
