TV Repair Man Has claimed another scalp in his bid to rid relevision of banal programming.
News emerged this week that popular presenter, Vernon Kay - husband of Strictly Come Dancing hostess Tess Daly - had pulled out of new ITV game show Sing If You Can.
Mr Kay's people have said that he quit the show because he thought it was "too daft." But TV Repair Man claims his campaign is the reason for the decision.
It is another success for the vigilante following Coleen Nolan's decision to quit daytime chat show Loose Women just over two weeks ago.
He told EIF News & Features in an e-mailed statement: "Like many people involved with banal game shows and daytime TV scheduling, Mr Kay received my agenda when I launched it in February. Because of his track record, he is considered a legitimate target.
"Contacts in the industry inform me that Mr Kay was completely behind the show before receiving my communiqué.
"Those continuing to be involved with the show should take note of Mr Kay's decision and follow suit. This show must be strangled at birth. You know it makes sense!"
