In a victory that was hardly a surprise to pundits who have closely followed the race, Wrath took top honors at this year's Sinnys, awarded to the Deadly Sins each March.
"People are really pissed off everywhere," said Daniel Patrick, the event's producer. "Wrath kinda ran away with it."
Though the voting members' governing body does not officially release runner-up results, Patrick admitted that the race was unusually close this year.
"Gluttony, which has been the perennial sin to beat lately, almost did it again this time around," Patrick added. "Sloth is really on the rise, too. There are a lot of lazy fucks out there."
Lust, retired with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1990 amid complaints of biological favoritism after stringing together 23 straight wins, was asked to comment but instead moaned softly, grunted a few times in quick succession and then sighed.
