The unknown artist known as Banksy may have put over another one on the public as well as the reporters when the word was passed that the attendee who was seated closely behind and to the right of Lady GaGa, may have been the artist.
All day people were saying that Banksy was a no-show at the last two events where he won awards while someone accepted the award on Banksy's behalf.
However, as reported earlier on several tabloids, there was a new sensation at the award show and also attended several after-show parties in plain view, rumored to be the new version of Lady GaGa, calling himself "Glandy Devine".
(See earlier story "Is Glandy Devine the Next Lady GaGa?" here under Entertainment this week).
"I thought he was sensational", reported Lady GaGa. "I was told that he was the latest thing in Australia."
However, when ABC newsman Al Goodman went to look at all that was claimed of "Glandy Devine", there was no such person.
"I think it was his sitting close to Lady GaGa and her talking to him later that helped him out. Also, earlier in the day, Banksy or "Glandy Devine" had sent some of his people out saying they were from Australia and were there to see how "Glandy Devine" would be dressed.
"He had blue hair and lots of makeup with glittery eyebrows", stated Goodman.
"Looks like the great Bansky has managed to fool all of us once again!"
