Following the astounding success of a recent experiment reporting live on the Oscars for the Spoof.com's world renowned Magazine Section, spoof reporting organisation, Skoob News has vowed to look into the possibility of covering news and sporting events as they happen.
The live Oscar ceremony report has been described as a complete and utter waste of time and effort, although it did win two awards for being the least popular Oscar coverage of all time.
"That's probably because we had Buffty Ginslinger doing it," explained Skoob News staffer Reddon. "He's notoriously unreliable is Buffty - that's why we fired him. He just wasn't suitable for live reportage - for one thing, he drinks too much, and for another, he just puts out too much information. He couldn't seem to grasp the simple reality that when people read a blow by blow account of a live event, they aren't interested in the writer going to the toilet, getting beer from the fridge, or feeding the cat. Any future live articles will be undertaken in a thoroughly professional manner."
Speculation mounts as we speak into whether coverage of tonight's Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Manchester United will be covered live.
Or whether there will just be more stories about socks - with gratuitous bad language and flashing images which may not be suitable for readers with photo-sensitive epilepsy.
More as we get it.
