Nina Dobrev of television's "The Vampire Diaries" nearly ran over a pedestrian trying to cross the street in Chicago last Thursday and a bank camera caught it all on video.
After watching the video at police headquarters, Dobrev and fellow actress, Katerina Graham who was a passenger admitted that it was a close call.
"I looked close when the light changed but there was a car parked at the end of the intersection on the right and as I turned, I had to brake because this guy came out from behind the car trying to cross the street", she told the officers.
Although the Jersey police told her they only called her in so that she could recognize the danger next time, Dobrev was a bit shaken by the entire incident according to Graham.
"I didn't see the guy either, but we both should have been watching. Nina was really rattled but the guy at the crossing was OK and just laughed. He stated that he was fine but kept looking at us as if he had seen us before. I guess he knows who it was who almost ran him down by now."
Also, according to Graham, Dobrev is really stiff at times due to her back problems. "I had a better view than she did."
"We were at a salad bar a few weeks back and Nina put too many spinach leaves on her plate and she threw her back out. I guess the plate was pretty heavy for someone just over 100 pounds."
