image for King's Peach or True Grits? Foodie flavored movies top Oscar nominations
Colin Firth is bollox as King George VI

Hollywood - (Gongs): The award proposals follow the spectacular success of A Feastfull of Dollars, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert, The Avi Ate 'Er, Babette's Fist (sic), Gone With The Wind, A Man For All Seasonings (1939), Silence of the Clams and Schindler's Pissed.

Whether the foodie themed movies will make it to the top this year is anybody's guess.

Jumped-up historical bollocks The King's Peach is being touted as genius - but merely made this reviewer retch into the popcorn.

Of course others may have stronger stomachs - including for the re-hash of John Wayne's peerless True Grits.

Bottom line for the Brit film is that Colin Firth is rubbish as King George VI - and not just because of the zero physical resemblance and cliche-ridden script he spouts.

As for Helena Bonham Carter, the bastard spawn of Cherie Blair no less, she's about as believable as Elizabeth Bowes Lyon as Katie Price might be playing Mother Theresa of Costcutta.

Brad Pitz is 69.

Make queen mudder's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
