image for Victoria Beckham pregnant - doesn't want another boy
Victoria Beckham is pregnant

Victoria Beckham, ex skinny one from The Spice Girls, and wife of global superstar and footballer, David Beckham, has admitted she is pregnant. Additionally, she has given very strong hints that she wants a girl this time.

"She's fed up with boys," said Fran Kloser, a close friend. "She's had four."

It is still too early in the pregnancy to find out the sex of the baby, but gynaecologist Hans Warmer who has dealt with a large number of celebrity pregnancies believes Victoria will be disappointed again.

"The gender of a baby is mostly determined by the man," said Warmer. "Men with high testosterone have boys in ninety percent of pregnancies. The one thing we know for sure about Beckham is that he has high testosterone."

Women can sway the outcome by eating a lot of fish prior to conceiving.

"The oils in fish make the nurse cells released with an egg more acidic," said Warmer. "This can prevent all but female sperm from entering. At least in chickens."

This news may have come to late for Victoria Beckham, for whilst she has only been drinking water for the past year in preparation for the pregnancy, she has not been eating fish. Indeed, she has not eaten anything since 2004. This means a fifth Beckham boy is likely. This could be a problem for the child, as Victoria has her heart set on the name Angel.

"I think she'll stick with Angel," said Fran, "Maybe make it Angelo if it is a boy. I do hope it's a girl though, she needs a model for her new baby girl clothing range."
