image for Alan and Jimmy Carr to present Top Gear

Non related Comedians Alan and Jimmy Carr are said to be in talks to take over the hosting of popular show Top Gear.

A spokesman told me: 'We are desperately trying to save money, and appeal to new audiences for all of our shows. We are interested in getting the Carrs to talk about Cars and we have moved the original team of presenters onto other shows."

According to the spokesman, Jeremy Clarkson will be leading The Three Jeremies (Bowen and Vine are the other two) a brand new comedy show, following the same scripts of Last of the Summer Wine. James May be presenting every show we show in May, while Richard Hammond will be playing the Hammond Organ on every theme show which needs something a funky background.

The toothy comedian Alan Carr told me: 'It is great news for my career, but I have no interest in cars, or motoring'.

Smug Lego like figure Jimmy Carr said: 'What is the difference between a car and a woman?'

But the punchline was too rude for a family newspaper, like this one.

Make Ben Macnair's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
