image for Jon Gosselin Begs Kate for Money to Buy Engagement Ring

News sources claim that Jon Gosselin has recently found gainful employment in the tech industry, meaning he is back to earning a mere pittance of what he was making before as a pseudo-reality celebrity.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife Kate is still making a pretty decent salary airing her and her kids' dirty laundry on reality television. It is no wonder then, that when Jon needs a bit more money to maintain the lifestyle he was accustomed to before he gave the finger to TLC, he relies on Kate to come through.

Speaking of fingers, rumors are flying that Jon wants to propose to his girlfriend, Ellen Ross on Christmas, but wants to surprise her with a suitable ring. For that, he needs money, and lots of it. Sources close to Kate Gosselin claim that Jon made an impassioned plea to his ex-wife to lend him $10,000 so that he could buy a diamond so big for Ellen it would make her (not sure if he was referring to Kate or Ellen) puke. It is not surprising that Kate declined to help her ex out.

In fact, Kate became so enraged that she threatened to throw Jon out on his keester if he didn't get the hell out of her house. Then she directed him to the nearest pawn shop and told him to go peddle his bullshit somewhere else.

Looks like Ellen might just have to wait a while longer before becoming the next Mrs. Jon Gosselin while Jon pays for a less expensive ring on layaway at Budget Jewelry Depot.
