Bristol Palin is just one of the stars on "Dancing With The Stars" that is very upset if the show has to take some weeks off!
The trouble seems to be that a judge has called everything to stop at least temporarily until a lawsuit is settled between the show's producers and Chuck Barris, who hosted the old 'Gong Show', over his work on an earlier dance show.
"Mr. Barris has the scripts to a show just like this", Judge Anthony Darington has ruled. "It's very clear that we may have to stop the show until the producers of "Dancing With The Stars" and Mr. Barris can come to a settlement or the whole thing going to court."
"I can see why the judge made the decision about a lawsuit", stated Palin. "But I don't see why the show must be stopped until it's over. Most of us have things to do right after doing the show and this puts everything off schedule."
On the other hand, Mr. Burris states that he is demanding a settlement for his original version of the show."
Al Decker, spokesman for 'Dancing With The Stars' told us, "Mr. Harris had only a brief outline of a talent show for dancers. He can't claim a part of every dance show on television. I think he only wants to grab some cash."
"This was MY idea and I've gotten nowhere with it", stated Burris. "So I am demanding the show be stopped until when have a hearing and a judgment."
"No", he wants to threaten to take the show off the air. He knows what that would cost us", stated Decker.
Like her mother, Bristol seems to usually go on the offense!
"If it goes to court and stops the show, I want to know if the dancers can go after Mr. Harris in court?"
Meanwhile, Billy Idol is said to be taking to attorney's about "American Idol".
