Missy Misteltoe, the mischievous mischief maker from Mistley in Essex used to misplace miscellany in Miss Selfridge's, before being mistaken for the lead singer of Mis-Teeq, and deciding to enter Miss Essex. From here, her career rocketed like a missile until she became Miss Britain.
However, she made the mistake of becoming the mismatched mistress of Mr. Mister lead singer, Richard Page. Although they only ever used the missionary position, Ms Mistletoe was misreported as showing misconduct, of being a miscreant in her mistimed misdemeanour. It was thought Misty could miss out on the Miss Beauty Contest, which will be held in Mississippi in May.
"It's a miscarriage of justice," said Misty. "This misadventure of mine was a mere miscalculation of a misspent youth. I'm now on a mission to avoid missing it."
Misty sent a missive to the contest organisers, telling them she is miserable. That she was misquoted and misrepresented; that has never misbehaved.
"I was misguided," said Misty. "I have never miscarried, I've never even been pregnant. I admit, it was a misalliance, but I would not want to see the misanthropes and misogynists mislead the judges."
The judges initially thought the missive was to misdirect them, but realised they misread it, and misdiagnosed the situation.
"We misconstrued the whole affair," said Mrs Mistry, the Miss Beauty organiser. "We were misinformed. Miss Britain will not miss out, she will not be mistreated. The whole thing has been a misunderstanding."
