image for DWTS Tells Bristol Palin Diva Up or You're Going Home

Bristol Palin bristles when she reads stories that claim she is being a diva on the set of Dancing with the Stars. In fact, she claims that nothing could be further from the truth. "I've watched my mother become a diva and if anything, I try so hard not to be like her that I come off as boring," said Bristol.

Unfortunately for her, it is this aversion to divaness that may spell Bristol's doom on DWTS. Statistics show the more diva-like the women and the more cowering the men, the better chances are that you'll last more than one or two episodes. Case in point, Kate Gosselin. She could not dance, had a sour disposition and fought with her partner as well as the crew, yet she lasted almost to the end just on sheer diva quality. A sign on the wall of the producers of Dancing with the Stars claims "Remember: Bitchiness Brings in the Bucks."

DWTS spokesperson, Krystal Burger said this about Bristol Palin "She's a diamond in the rough. We know there is a part of her mom in her just waiting to burst through, but right now, she's playing the 'good-mannered kid' card, and in this business, that can be a death knell. She's not only up against a whole cast that is going to outshine her, but the fact that she was sloppy seconds. We really wanted her mother, Sarah, to be on this season, but that deal fell through."

Said Burger, "Bristol needs to diva up and right now, or she won't last more than maybe the first or second episode. Trust me, I've seen her dance skills. She ain't all that."
