George Lucas, the father and creator of Star Wars has apparently spoken about a possible Star Wars spinoff since 2003. And we have a report from Reuters that daddy-o will be behind the cameras again for the spin-off right after he finishes Indiana Jones IV with Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford.

Lucas calls it "Planet Of Dagobah" which will focus on the life of Jedi-Master Yoda.

"We will look into the life of Yoda...as human before he was transformed into the hideous creature" said Lucas during an exclusive interview.

"You see, Yoda was once human who betrayed his own people as he was the leader of Dagobah. His mind was filled with greed, obsession, and power which eventually led into a turmoil not only to his people but himself. He was then cursed, realizing his errors in the past, he decided to redeem himself by becoming a Jedi Master as he started to train young Jedis, which earned him the position in the Jedi council. I will not say much but I have a brilliant story about this"

Lucas has repeatedly mentioned that newcomer Zulbukhari Ani will headline this new Spin-off as the once-evil Yoda. Although the details are still sketchy, Lucas is planning to release "Dagobah" by 2008. He even mentioned that Natalie Portman has signed but we are not sure whether Natalie would reprise her role as the everlasting Queen Amidala or as a new person.

"I still believe that Zulbukhari Ani is the frontrunner and the best choice to portray Yoda. We have not approach him yet but we do intend to once the script is complete."

- In other news : Lucasfilm has totally denied any sequels after Episode VI - Revenge of the Jedi. "We honestly do not have any plans for an Episode VII" says Star Wars producer Rick McCallum. "But we are in the process of doing a Star Wars TV Series which I think will be airing by 2006."

Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith opens May 19, 2005 world wide.

Make Swinger's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
