Attorneys for embattled Follywood actors Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen have proposed a new and unique defense psychiatrists have dubbed "breathtaking" in the aftermath of death threats to their wives and lovers!
Both actors are now claiming the recorded rants, photographed bruises and knives taken into evidence were part of their 'method acting' where they became so immersed in preparing for their next role they lost any touch with reality.
Gibson attorney Mona Honeycutt, fresh off her defense of Lindsay Lohan which didn't go too well, said Mel was only 'acting out' as he prepared to play Raoul Moat, the steroid crazed killer who kept England in the grip of terror until police built up enough courage to crawl into a sewer line where he had been homesteading, and managed to turn his gun on him and pull the trigger.
"Something about Oksanna's breasts and the way she was dressing just set Mel off, he kept thinking about Raoul's lover cheating on him while he was in lock up....can you blame him, eh?"
Sheen's attorney, Buckskin Clad William "Wild Bill" Malarkey, who successfully represented accused pedophile Roman Polanski in his successful defense against deportation to the US, took mostly the same line.
"Charlie was deep into character the night he put a knife to the throat of Brooke," he said, " even down to the undersized leather gloves...the character of O.J. had completely taken over, he just wasn't himself. This is what Hollywood does to you....it inflates your ego, makes you think you're the smartest person in the world and that your persona is bullet proof."
Both attorneys said they were surprised that more Follywood stars didn't run for political office.
Shooting on the sets for both "O.J: Why the Real Killer Remains at Large", and "Moat: My Body is My Temple" has been suspended indefinitely.
Meanwhile, an internet blog reports that Roman Polanski has received funding from Follywood Fan Hugo Chavez for his new screen play based on a semi-biography tentatively titled: "Baby Doll- The Child Who Ruled a Banana Republic'.
The story details how a 4 year old child raised in Hollywood becomes the obsession of a Narco Dictator and winds up ruling the country after his death at the hands of his starving countrymen when he couldn't field a competitive soccer team.
Oliver Stone is said to be 'excited' at the prospect to produce the film, with Sean Penn as the uneducated power hungry and sex obsessed dictator, Danny Glover as the Minister of State Security & Propaganda, and introducing Suri Cruise, the 4 year old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Homes as the precocious ingenue with the $2m dollar wardrobe playing the lead.
Stockholm, backed by the Vatican and the EU Council of Ministers are said to be already behind the push for a Nobel for Roman as he fearlessly continues on his mission promoting 'human rights' for children, especially if they are young and female.
The proposed film is currently unrated.
