On again, off again, on again; this has been the pattern ever since two of the world's most popular, albeit not talented, popstars, began dating a few days ago.
Two days ago, I made up the story of the two's relationship amidst rumours of marriage as the pair were said to be "smitten." Tweedy, one-time wife of love-rat Ashley Cole, claimed that the rumours were unfounded, but did a sensational U-turn a day later, when she revealed exclusively to us that the pair "had split."
This was a predictable, if belated change of tune, but it also came with its complications. Sources close to the "3 Words" pop princess told our reporter that Bieber and Tweedy were now embroiled in a bitter feud, however today we can finally put to bed these "trashy rumours."
It was Bieber, close pal of R&B's Usher, who confirmed that the pair were to end their war of words.
In a press conference, orchestrated by PR guru Max Clifford, the teenager slammed the "gutter press," for their role in the saga and added that "Cheryl is a sweetheart."
He went on to announce plans of a reconciliation concert, too, which he called "a chance to convey a message of unity."
Stars have praised the move with a string of high-profile guests already confirmed. Among them: rap superstar and "Not Afraid" hitmaker, Eminem; socialite, Katie Price and Russell Brand, who incidentally has come out to deny allegations that he had bedded Russian super-spy, Anna Chapman.
Others however, claim that it is a cynical ploy to make money out of their own personal dramas. Leading this charge is a distraught Peter Andre who will be ruing this missed opportunity to gain publicity.
We, though, believe that this "show of unity," is an effective plan, and cannot fathom how Andre could think such a thing.
Cheryl Cole and Justin Bieber seeking publicity?! Impossible...
