image for Paul McCartney To Record Vuvuzela Album
Macca: plays the vuvuzela left-handed

Sir Paul McCartney has said that he will record an album later this summer with a South African musical ensemble, with the central focus on the vuvuzela, that annoying trumpet thingy from the World Cup.

McCartney, the former Beatle, who seemingly just doesn't know when to call it a day, says he is an avid football fan, and often goes to games if he is given complimentary tickets. He says he first became aware of the vuvuzela two years ago, but didn't think of using it musically until he saw the World Cup on his telly.

Said Macca:

"Until last week, I never thought of using it as a musical instrument. I had some other private use for it. Now though, with all the vuvuzela publicity - which, I, myself, also crave, I thought I'd invite a few token South African musicians to form an ensemble with the great Sir Paul McCartney, and to do an album of boring drone music, like many of my other albums during the last twenty years."

Make Monkey Woods's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
