Beer is so good for you it ought to be compulsory, claims an independent study published by a beer institute.
Beer drinkers are celebrating with a pint of their favourite tipple as an independent report has shown that beer is one of the healthiest drinks available. Apparently it's packed with vitamins, fibre and antioxidants. Regular chugging has also been proven to protect against osteoporosis, open the arteries and even improve your looks.
"Beer is a natural beauty aid" claimed a spokesmodel for the Institute. "A couple of cold ones a day will give you clear, glowing skin and thick shiny manageable hair - just look at those Dutch women who were thrown out of the World Cup." The Institute in now pushing for government funding for roadshows that will visit schools and youth clubs, creating awareness of the health benefits of the amber nectar.
In another development, couch potatoes round the world are eagerly awaiting the findings of a report commissioned by the International Federation of Pork Scratchings Manufacturers.
