image for Pattinson, Lautner Say They Would Agree To Mel Brooks Vampire Spoof

Both stars of the Twilight movies, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner say they would be interested in having a role in a proposed Mel Brooks movie about vampires.

"I don't know about any of the other actors but I love all the Mel Brooks movies", stated Lautner. "Young Frankenstein still cracks me up every time I see it. The man is a genius."

Robert Pattinson said that he would also be interested in a role in the spoof, after the last Twilight is shown.

"I think that would be a lot of fun. Tayler Lautner called me and we agree", said Pattinson when approached about the subject. "Mel Brooks is great. I asked Kristen about it but she said she didn't have the same sense of humor as Lautner and me and didn't really care about doing it. She's also considering a very serious role in an upcoming movie, so maybe she's right."

According to the rumors, Sarah Michelle Gellar of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" fame, would also agree to the Brooks film.

"That would be great", stated Pattinson when told. "I can see her chasing us around. One thing I would want to be agreed to, is that Taylor and I could relay some great jokes and funny incidents that happened while filming the Twilight series."

"Can't you just see a vampire stuck out somewhere and the sun's rising and he's trying to hide? Or that he can't even see himself in a mirror? We must have had dozens of those being passed around."
