Was it bad planning or a publicity stunt, but this morning on the street outside Riverside hotel in London Kerry Katona was coming out as Katie Price was going in.
Kerry Katona is currently wooing Katie Price's ex-husband, Peter Andre, which has added to an already seething mass of animosity between the two famous-but-nobody-knows-why celebrities. Both women are also appearing in their own perpetual documentaries with camera crews trailing them everywhere.
As the two women crossed paths there was an exchange of heated words between the two women, all caught on camera by both sides, naturally, before the two camera crews also crossed paths. It started as the two boom operators bumped booms, and quickly escalated into an out an out scrap, with Katona's cameraman Justin Mipants landing a blow with a top of the range Sony high def camera on the back of the head of Price's personal assistant.
The two crews were soon rolling around on the floor punching, biting and screaming. According to onlookers, Katona and Price looked at each other, shrugged and picked up the cameras to record the whole thing. Soon, the amusing spectacle was broken up when the police arrived and took the two crews away in separate vans. As neither women can make a move without a camera crew in tow, they had to stand next to each other outside the hotel while replacement crews arrived.
One onlooker snapped a picture of the two women hugging before the cameras were switched back on, and they reverted to being enemies again.
That onlooker has never been seen again.
