HOLLYWOOD - The producers of The Vampire Dairies have announced that teen idol singers Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez will be appearing on an upcoming episode.

Cyrus and Gomez will appear as Griselda and Gabriela Guggenheim, cousins of the Nina Dobrev character Elena Gilbert.

The two Guggenheim sisters will become involved in a strange relationship with the shows vampire brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore, who are played by Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.

Miley was asked how she prepared for her role as Griselda The Evil Crow Sorceress of Moldovia.

Cyrus said that she read the book The Vampire Cookbook by Isorella Frescamente and rented the DVD The Pragmatic Prince of Upper Wallachia.

She smiled and said that she also talked to her dad who told her that he had once dated a woman who he swore was a Salem witch.

Selena was also asked how she prepared for her role as Gabriela The Seductress of Bats and Shadows.

Gomez giggled and said that she went to Blockbuster Video and rented five DVDs of The Sean Hannity Show on which Ann Coulter appeared as the guest hostess.

SIDENOTE: Both Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have stated that they will be donating their entire Vampire Dairies acting fee to The Elena Gilbert Research Study Committee On The Dietary Habits of East Coast Vampires.
